As a direct result of the devastating cuts being levied against criminal defence Solicitors by government, Farringdon Chambers has decided that the continued attack on justice cannot be sustained and so in support of the Solicitors profession, Farringdon practitioners will not, until further notice, accept any instructions where the representation order was granted after 1st July 2015.

Farringdon Chambers awaits the result of the ballot currently being undertaken by the Criminal Bar Association (the CBA) on its policy on "no returns" (the cover that other advocates provide when trial Counsel is unavailable). Farringdon Chambers strongly supports this action and is currently making arrangements in accordance with our professional duties to implement the policy shortly after the ballot closes, should the ballot favour no returns (as is anticipated and as we would urge).

Farringdon Chambers are a successful and approachable barristers' chambers which is committed to working in partnership with its clients and delivering the highest standard of advocacy.

Founded in 2001 and located in Bermondsey Street, near to many of the major criminal courts and set in a thriving commercial and creative area, Farringdon Chambers continues to grow and to develop its core areas of practice in all areas of Serious Crime and related Confiscation work.

Farringdon has developed significant experience and skill in its core areas of criminal practice, especially money laundering, fraud and white collar crime, asset recovery and confiscation proceedings. Our members, including two QCs, have particular experience in major criminal investigations and are well versed in heavy fraud, drugs and serious criminal cases. We are supported by an experienced team of clerks who are able to assist 24 hours a day with any aspect of clerking.

Farringdon has the pleasure of being led by a very experienced senior clerk.  Robert (Bob) Archer, formerly of Garden Court, took over the position of Senior Clerk two years ago and has since seen Farringdon Chambers grow and develop its team of members and clerks. He brings with him a wealth of experience developed over many years of clerking at the highest level. He is supported by Reece Hassan, also of Garden Court who has substantial experience in clerking and who forms part of a formidable team of clerking talent.

In addition to our core criminal work, Farringdon has teams of practitioners who are able to assist with the following areas of law:-
