Claire Davies KC has been elected Vice Chair of the Bar Council for 2027.
Chambers are delighted to announce that Claire Davies KC has been elected Vice Chair of the Bar Council for 2027.
Claire was called to the Bar in 1999. She has risen rapidly in her career, becoming Chambers only Recorder in 2016, our first homegrown female silk in 2022 and was elected a Bencher in Middle Temple in 2025. Claire is currently leader of the South Eastern circuit.
She is a criminal defence specialist and undertakes all serious criminal work, but her focus is Homicide and Fraud. Claire will continue to practice whilst in post.
We are delighted with Claire’s news and wish her all the best in her forthcoming position, which comes at a time of significant change in the Criminal Justice system. We know that Claire will look forward to the challenges ahead with enthusiasm.
