Jack Jennett succeeds in application for Judicial Review against the Parole Board of England and Wales
Jack Jennett appeared before the Admin Court in the case of Stephens v Parole Board of England and Wales (2020) 5 WLUK 392 last week.
The application was made on the basis that the Parole Board erred in law and failed in their duty of sufficient inquiry when refusing to grant a pre-tariff individual a transfer to open-conditions.
The application succeeded on both grounds and that the Board's decision was quashed. Whilst a summary is currently published we are informed the full judgment will be published soon. Instructed by Len Hodkin of GT Stewart Solicitors.
Jack is developing his practice in Public Law and Prison Law alongside his ordinary practice of Crime. Please contact the clerks if you wish to instruct him in any matters.
