Justin Ko secured a suspended sentence for a client convicted of 6 offences, including dangerous driving and assault on emergency workers at Chelmsford Crown Court.
The defendant had an extensive history of identical previous convictions and poor compliance with court orders, including a breach of a previous suspended sentence and further breaches of bail in relation to the index offences. However, after careful consideration and some scepticism, the Court was persuaded by Justin’s submissions that there remained a glimmer of hope and that there was still a realistic prospect of rehabilitation. Accordingly, the sentence was suspended.
Justin was instructed and assisted by Jim Patel of Foresters Solicitors.
