R v B – CCC – Murder of flatmate.

 

R v G – CCC – Gang related murder.

 

Serious Violence:

R v S – Harrow CC – defendant acquitted of causing grievous bodily harm with intent to do grievous bodily harm in a stabbing allegation.

 

R v S – Snaresbrook CC – s18 acid attack wounding.

R v A – Snaresbrook CC- EncroChat (Operation Venetic) defendant acquitted following successful submissions in allegation he was the organiser of the importation of hundreds of kgs of cocaine.

 

R v R – Luton CC – EncroChat (Operation Venetic) represented the first defendant in an entirely novel prosecution, thought to be the first of its type in the UK of a conspiracy to assist or encourage serious crime, by the provision of encrypted handsets operating on an encrypted network.

10 weeks trial. Gang related murder involving young category A defendants. Significant issues of bad character, gang association, gang lyrics and connected material. The case relied heavily on CCTV and telephone analysis evidence.

R v H Alleged conspiracy to murder

Hove CC, led junior, 10 weeks. The first two defendants were regional level drug dealers with international links, who when in financial difficulties made an agreement to kill their creditors. Our client was alleged to be the hit man. This was a multi agency investigation involving a wide range of evidence, including probe, encrypted phones, ANPR, cell site, phone data and contact and undercover surveillance
